Let me clarify, my Sprint Mobile Broadband sucks. Over the last year and a half of service, firmware upgrades and who knows what else (capping my barely used account?) I have noticed a ridiculous drop in speed. Today i was downloading at a snails pace of 14 KB/Sec. The net geeks reading this know what I am talking about. And to anyone else, basically I would be blowing this download speed away by connecting through my kitchen phone line. Pathetic.
So what really gets me about this is the response I got from Sprint when trying to call in. After waiting on hold for about 35 minutes I was told I would get a callback from a special ‘tech’ person. WooHoo!!! In a nutshell, 20 minutes later his advice was to shut down my antivirus program & firewall. Oh, what in the world would we all do without these brilliant techies. Hey moron how many people have you given this wonderful advice to?
I will call these clowns back when I have some time & patience. Or I will wait a little longer for my contract to expire and give Verizon or Clearwire a shot.
Oh, and I have tested my broadband card all around the RDU area, Richmond Virginia, Washington D.C & New York City. Sorry to disappoint you Sprint, I’m not trying to post this rant from a tent in the Rocky Mountains. This is an actual service problem.
